VolunteeringWe are delighted to have recruited over 100 volunteers of all ages and backgrounds who support the work of the Deaf Centre in a wide variety of ways.Volunteers play a vital part in the work of the Deaf Centre, supporting the various groups and individuals in a variety of ways including managing the social bar, creating newsletters, fundraising…and much, much more!We have a dedicated Volunteer Co-ordinator, Jonathan Swift. Jonathan is responsible for:
· Recruiting and inducting new volunteers
· Providing support, training and supervision
· Developing new opportunities for volunteers
In the last year, Johnathan has: · Recruited over 100 volunteers to support our work · Delivered a volunteer team building and training day · Delivered deaf and blind volunteer trainingWe are always looking for additional help and are particularly keen to recruit volunteers with skills to support our Helping Hands Appeal.
