Welcome to the Manchester Deaf Centre

Volunteering

We are delighted to have recruited over 100 volunteers of all ages and backgrounds who support the work of the Deaf Centre in a wide variety of ways.

Volunteers play a vital part in the work of the Deaf Centre, supporting the various groups and individuals in a variety of ways including managing the social bar, creating newsletters, fundraising…and much, much more!

We have a dedicated Volunteer Co-ordinator, Jonathan Swift.  Jonathan is responsible for:

·    Recruiting and inducting new volunteers

·    Providing support, training and supervision

·    Developing new opportunities for volunteers

In the last year, Johnathan has:

    ·    Recruited over 100 volunteers to support our work
    ·
Delivered a volunteer team building and training day
    ·    Delivered deaf and blind volunteer training

We are always looking for additional help and are particularly keen to recruit volunteers with skills to support our Helping Hands Appeal.
