Karen May

Get On Project Manager

Karen May is a Director of the Community& Heritage CIC (Community Interest Company) who support MDC by project managing some of the centres projects and helping to deliver elements of projects that engage children

and young people.

One of the key projects Karen will be project co ordinating (1 day per week) during 2021 is the ‘Get On’ Princess Trust project.

Karen is a Full-Time qualified Youth and Community worker and has managed community projects and community buildings across the North West of England and within the USA. She has a master’s degree in the Practice of Community Education and a Post Graduate Certificate in Social/Oral History.

Karen has worked as the Regional Development Manager for the National Lottery Heritage Fund and the National Lottery Community Fund.

Karen specialises in fund raising across several income streams including grants and trusts, tenders and commissions, online fund raising and product sales.

In her personal time, she enjoys Cuban Salsa, yoga, textile design and spending time with her family.
