Manchester Deaf Centre is the largest organisation in Greater Manchester providing support to a wide range of people with sensory impairment.  The centre is a popular place for D/deaf, deaf-blind and hard of hearing people to meet and socialise and also to access information and our Communication Service that enable Deaf and hearing people to communicate in a wide variety of settings.

Manchester City Council's Sensory Provision Service is also based in the Centre.  They provide sensory equipment and adaptations, linkworker services and rehabilitation for all people with sensory impairments.

We welcome members of the public to our 'drop-in' centre where we offer information and advice to anyone who is directly affected by hearing loss or other sensory issues or for family members or carers who need advice.

Manchester Deaf Centre is the North West's leading provider of accredited training courses in British sign Language and Deaf Awareness Training for the public and a variety of statutory and private sector organisations.

Our central location on Oxford Road offers good public transport links to all parts of the city and beyond and also means we are an increasingly popular choice as meeting place for a range of community groups and local organisations.

Our social programme is an important and popular part of our provision and we are always keen to welcome organisations who are interested in collaborating with us to provide activities for deaf and hearing participants to socialise together.

Our Helping Hands Appeal is helping us to raise money to make major improvements to our facilities and we hope to be able to offer a range of exciting new services and activities once we have completed the work.
