Who is Punk Chef?

For those who don’t already know him, Punk Chef (real name Scott Garthwaite) is a Deaf professional chef, food demonstrator and TV presenter. Since studying for his culinary degree, Scott has appeared in several TV shows and is the first ever Deaf celebrity chef to appear on mainstream TV. In 2015 he came 2nd at the International Gastronomy Deaf Chef competition in Copenhagen, Denmark. This recognition has made him one of the top Deaf chefs in the world. He has been described as ‘enthusiastic, exuberant and funny’ and he has a huge passion for sharing his cooking knowledge and skills to other members of the Deaf community using BSL – so this is a great chance to come to cook with him!
