Growing Green Futures

Our new project, Growing Green Futures, is starting soon. Are you interested in working in green outdoor areas? Would you like to learn about conservation, woodland management, and biodiversity? This project is for you.

To take part you must be:

  • 18 years or older
  • Living in Greater Manchester
  • Unemployed
  • D/deaf or hard of hearing

The first stage of the project, on Wednesdays from the end of September, will involve employment-related workshops based at Manchester Deaf Centre.

For the second stage of the project, in November, we will be partnering with two environmental organisations – City of Trees and The Conservation Volunteers. We will be going outdoors to learn skills that you will need if you want to be employed in this sector in the future. There will be opportunity to meet with employers and undertake voluntary work placements with them.
