Are you a beginner or looking to build your confidence and skills using digital devices such as a mobile phone, tablet or laptop?

The WEA is running this course at Manchester Deaf Centre. It will be supported throughout by BSL interpreters.

There will be two sessions per week for 10 weeks starting 13th September 2022. Tuesdays and Wednesdays 10am to 3pm.

It is FREE if you are unemployed, in receipt of certain income-related benefits or earn less than £19.5K annually.

You will learn:

  • how to access online services
  • basic searching on the internet
  • e-safety
  • entering text
  • using apps
  • using email and communicating online
  • how to use Zoom and Canvas (the virtual learning environment)

You will receive a certificate of achievement at the end of the course. There will also be the option to progress onto a higher-level course afterwards if you want to.

The course is organised through our WAITE employment team. We provide support to deaf, deafened and hard of hearing people with job seeking, skills training and employment-related issues.
