Wellbeing Group news

Check out what our Wellbeing Group has been up to recently. Over the past month:

  • We visited Sugden Sports Centre to play badminton. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed playing the sport and we are considering planning another visit for later in the year.
  • We had a celebration for the King’s coronation including a themed quiz, games and free food.
  • The group visited Ordsall Hall and our interpreter facilitated a guided tour about the history of the people who lived there and the building. Feedback from the group was that they found the historical information really interesting.
  • We visited Peel Park and Salford Museum. The museum was really interesting as it had a small street set up indoors that was made to look just like the early 20th Century. There were sweet shops, shoe makers, a chemist and lots of things to interact with. It gave us an idea of what it would have been like to live in times gone by.
  • We also had a coffee morning with board games and dominoes, free tea, coffee and snacks.

New people are always welcome to the group, which usually meets weekly on Thursdays (however, please note that because of staff training we need to close on June 8th and June 15th).

All activities are chosen by the group members and everyone’s communication needs are met.
