At Manchester Deaf Centre, we offer welcoming, high‑quality BSL courses taught by experienced Deaf tutors. Whether you’re beginning BSL for the first time or building on Level 1, you’ll learn in a supportive, Deaf‑led setting that helps you develop your skills at a comfortable pace.

Level 2 Certificate in British Sign Language
Build fluency. Communicate with confidence.
This 40‑week, term‑time only Level 2 course is perfect for learners who have completed Level 1 and want to build their confidence and fluency in BSL.
Entry Interview
After you apply, we’ll invite you to a short 15‑minute interview (online or face‑to‑face) to check your Level 1 skills and ensure Level 2 is the right fit.
By the end of Level 2,you’ll be able to:
- Hold longer and more detailed conversations
- Share opinions, preferences and feelings
- Understand a wider range of signed language

- Health, wellbeingand emotions
- Describing people, animals and objects in detail
- Expressing preferences,opinions and experiences

Cost: £540 (tuition only) Payment: 2‑instalment plan available (non‑refundable deposit)
Important: Course fees do not include exam fees. Exam fees and an administration fee are payable separately for each exam booking, including resits.
