Become a member of MDC

Our trustee board is introducing a new membership scheme; anyone who uses our services and has an interest in the future of Manchester Deaf Centre is invited to become a registered member.

What does being a ‘registered member’ mean?

It means that you will have the right to vote about decisions that affect the future of Manchester Deaf Centre.

For example, if you attend our Annual General Meeting in future, you will only be able to vote if you are a registered member.

You will be given a membership card like the sample below, and you will be asked to show your card at meetings like the AGM.

Is there a cost?

No. Membership is free.

Do I need to be a member to continue to access services?

No. It is not necessary to be a member to access services.

How do I become a member?

You need to fill in a short form. There are 3 ways that you can do this:

  1. Print the form at home to complete, then bring it to reception when you next visit the centre.
  2. Ask for a form to complete at reception when you next visit the centre.
  3. Download the form, complete it using a digital signature and email it to Claire Holland by clicking on link 1 below.

If you need help completing the form, we can assist you at reception.

We will then give you your membership card.
