Laura Hannaway

Administration Assistant

I volunteered at MDC for a year in 2011, I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and I am excited to have the opportunity to work at MDC part time as an Administration Assistant, I am looking forward to joining the team and having new work experiences.

I have been studying BSL for 17 years and achieved my Level six in 2019. In January 2023, I started the post graduate BSL Interpreter course at UCLAN.

I have worked as a CSW in various educational settings in the North West since 2013. I have also volunteered with NDCS and more recently at a festival interpreting talks and small classes which was great to meet new people and gain more experience as a TSLI.

In my free time I like to go for walks, travel and catch up with friends.
