Children and Young People Worker

I am so excited to begin my role as a youth worker at MDC. I am currently doing a PhD in disability history focusing predominantly on Deaf history. For my undergraduate degree thesis, I researched the history of British Sign Language as an accepted language, and for my master’s project, I researched the importance of putting disability history into the UK national curriculum. I have completed my Level 3 British Sign Language and am looking forward to starting my Level 4. I have lots of experience working with young people and look forward to the new experiences I will have as part of the MDC community.
