I started at MDC as a volunteer cleaner in 2024 and so have been a volunteer cleaner for 2 years now. I enjoy being a volunteer cleaner as it has helped me to be more confident and gain knowledge and skills for future opportunities. I am proud that MDC has now offered me paid employment, which will start in April 2026. I am really looking forward to working with the staff at MDC.

I find MDC staff are very friendly, supportive and communication is easy as we all use sign language; I have become comfortable working here.

One of my friends already works at MDC, we are always going out shopping, on holidays and for meals with our family; as well as attending church every Sunday.
