Sadia Grabham

BSL Teacher / Deaf Awareness Trainer

Hello, my name is Sadia Grabham. I am profoundly Deaf. I am a BSL Teacher and Deaf Awareness trainer. I have been a qualified teacher for over 25 years and from my teaching experience, I have taught all levels of BSL from level 1 to level 6. I have also delivered BSL/Deaf Awareness courses in Education sectors as well as in both public and private sectors.

Additionally, I was an assessor and an Internal Quality Assurer (IQA) working both internally and externally checking that assessments are consistent, fair and meet the awarding body standards. I have been teaching BSL to students of all ages and abilities.

BSL is my first and preferred language. I went to a Deaf school and attended the local Deaf centre. I used to volunteer in committee work within Deaf organisations.

Currently, I am involved in the Deaf community and work within a Deaf environment. I have the following passions; Art, Craft making, Theatre, Eating out and also, socialising in my spare time.
